Janey’s directing credits include short films for I'm a Camera, Theatre including West End (Donmar Warehouse, Soho Theatre, Jermyn Street), Off West End (Young Vic Studio, Warehouse Theatre) in New York, Off Broadway (at 59E59 Theaters - Woody Allen's early short stories which she also adapted for the stage) and Hong Kong (Fringe Theatre Festival.) Janey works internationally in TV, theatre and film as producer and writer also, and is artistic director of I'm a Camera

Janey was acting coach/production assistant on feature film IRON CROSS (2009 - IMDB), written/directed by Joshua Newton and starring Roy Scheider (JAWS, FRENCH CONNECTION, MARATHON MAN), Sarah Bolger (THE TUDORS, IN AMERICA, SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES), Zander Newton, Scott Cohen and Monica Cruz.  She also produced THE MAKING OF IRON CROSS. Janey taught drama at Chelsea College and Chiswick College.

Janey's production company, I’m a Camera, presents new work. Recent director/producer work with the company includes MURDER MYSTERY BLUES – Woody Allen granted I'm a Camera the rights to adapt his early film noir short stories for the stage, featuring original music by Olivier Award winner Warren Wills (RSC, West End) and lyrics by Janey. The piece ran Off West End for ten weeks, then transferred to New York where it played for a further four weeks in the main house, 59E59 Theaters.

Other plays for I’m a Camera includes THE RIVAL QUEENS at Union Theatre (Nathaniel Lee adapted by Dan Rebellato) and IN THAT SUMMER OF SWEET SIXTEEN at Old Red Lion, Islington.

Up and coming feature film HOUSE (working title), a co production with Forward Motion Pictures, and as theatre piece It was nominated for the Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Trust Award. Inspired by the idea, Janey has written this new original screenplay. 

Acting Coach

Janey offers affordable one-on-one classes for actors - high quality individual training tailored to the individual, to broaden the individual's experience and opportunities. Janey works with actors at all stages of their career, whether professional, beginner or in between.  She also works with non-actors on public speaking and confidence boosting.


These one on one classes are designed to challenge and support the actor in a positive environment with honest feedback from an industry pro. Whatever your interest, be it drama school entry,  acting for film or theatre, character/play analysis, sight reading, verse, improvisation - Janey can help. Assistance given with choosing speeches - she's also an experienced editor if the piece is a little too long for the drama school's requirements.

Janey has helped actors gain entry to Central, RADA, Arts Ed and other major schools, plus secure acting jobs paid and unpaid in all areas of the industry. The classes can be in the daytime or evening, weekdays or weekends - and you can choose how frequent they will be - one or two hours per week, or fortnightly, monthly - whatever is required.
